I am looking to put different wheels on my 2000 Impala. I want to go with a larger size , but was told at Sullivan tire that I can't because it would change the dynamics of the car. I guess it's sort of like telling me I can't use green washer fluid IT must be red.......

How much larger? and why would you want to?
The car obviously came with different size tires for different models(base vs LS)....different tire sizes may use different suspension systems.....

From what I can see there are not that many different suspensions used in these cars. All call for the same Struts except for Police and Taxi cabs. I just want a better ride with a wider better tire. I would like to go to 245 60 16 ..........

Suspensions use different stabilizer bars, spring rates, etc.
Have you checked what tire sizes are used on your vehicle?

Don't you already have 16 inch wheels on your car?

Forgot to mention, larger tires will have a slight effect on the speedometer accuracy....

would like to go with a dressier tire than the stock 225/60R16 that it calls for. I've ordered a complete set of Munroe quick struts to install and I think that will bring the height up somewhat.......I feel that after 15 years the struts need replacement.....Going to do all the struts..bearings..and inner and outer tie rod ends and links. Along with slotted drilled Rotors and ceramic brakes.:rofl::rofl:
