2005 Impala Instrument Cluster

My 05 Impala has been struck with the Faulty Instrument Cluster Stepper Motor.
The Temperature Gauge is sticking and does not return to 0 when the car is shut off.
I have found a couple places where I can get an exchange, unit for around $180.
A couple of other places I can send my unit to get rebuilt and return shipped.
An one person locally who will come out and do the repair onsite.
Anyone out there have any experience with getting this done?
How difficult is it to replace the stepper motors, yourself?
