hi all,
anyone have a way of decoding ford spring codes? in particular front coil springs? my '00 cargo (3.8) has CF while my '02 cargo (3.8) has EA
i'm considering replacing the '02 front coils but would like to know the load and spring rate differences?
tia,
parker

You may have to go to the dealer to find out.
Also, perhaps looking the part up on the rockauto website and see what fits what....maybe they used a different part between years?....you can check that at that website under "information" for the part.
I would recommend replacing the front springs and struts as 1 unit......
They sell the whole unit, new springs, new upper mount bearing, strut and such.
Well worth doing and have all new stuff.....and is easier to do vs moving these 14 year old items over to the old struts.
