2000 Impala front end shimmy

When I make a right turn and accelerate such as when entering a traffic pattern, I can feel through the steering wheel, a shimmy. I checked ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearing, and had the tires balanced and rotated. I heard the rack/pinion could cause this, but that seems a stretch. I don't have any other symptoms that I can think of. Can't see how that could cause it.. Thanks for any suggestions..

Update: I changed the driver's side CV Axle and problem went away. Very simple project. No special tools, I just used a 90 degree pry bar on the inner connection and it popped right out with not force needed. Don't hesitate to undertake this project.

must have been the passenger side CV/Axel. The driver side you need an CV/axle puller IMO

Nope, it was the drivers side. I rented the tools from Advance Auto because I read you need the special tool. Their tools kit did not have the right one. So I used the 90 degree pry bar..
