Nah, not trying to argue. I guess "sporty compact" would be a good description too, for certain models...like the GS-R, Si, or SE-R.

Just FYI, I don't consider Camaros "sports-cars" either. "Sporty muscle car" would be the appropriate term, I think.

To me, an MR2 would be considered a "sports-car". So would the light and agile MGB, the S2000, any Porsche besides the Cayenne and those you'd call "supercars", any and all M3s, you get the pic.

"Sports-car" to me will have the balance of straight-line speed, but with emphasis on handling, with a tossable RWD, or AWD chassis. I'd throw in the Evo and STi too, but they're more towards the "rally" than "sport" range...meaning they're above it.

Anything beyond "sports-car" would be in the "exotic" or supercar" range.

Of course, this is MY opinion.

I agree. I think a Z is a muscle car. It better describes what I'm into - straight line acceleration.

i agree with you totally cept for the part about the civic being in the same class as a aspire, my rex for example would be in the "sport compact" class, along with turbo jettas, z24 cavis, tegs, etc, etc.. so you really can't compare a car that is built for the strip performance to a car with a 92 hp engine :icon16:

Why not? Wasn't there a CRX engine that made 96hp or something like that? The DX only makes 106:frown: And with the CRX being lighter, I'm sure they're right around the same speed quarter-wise. But I suppose I understand what you mean. I've always considered them to be sport compact cars, as you said.

no no no that's what i'm sayin is that a civic/crx is in a diff class than a camaro/mustang, but not in the same class as a aspire, at least i don't look at it that way, those car are just plain ugly, although i would buy a colt or mirage h/b because i know someone that has a turbo'd one and it's fast as shit and can get vette's a good run for their money

oh yea and the reason with my rex is because it's got a jdm zc engine that makes around 140-145hp that came stock on the jdm crx's and not 92.

Obviously in a different class than the Camaro or Mustang, hehe.
But I mean, why so different than the Aspire? Ugliness is a matter of opinion. I think the CRX isn't in the same class as the Integra because it's ugly...Does that hold up? And the ZC is a SWAP, that doesn't count, lol. You could just as easily buy an Aspire and turbo that, and make it run just as hard as the Colt/Mirage. I think the Aspire is in the same class as the CRX/Civic. Maybe not quite as powerful, but still in the same class. Take the Mustang GT compared to the Camaro Z28...The GT is almost 50hp shy of what the Z28 puts out, but I still consider them the same class of cars.

Oh, and the ZC makes 129hp stock, I think it is:smile:

ok i guess i see what you are saying, but i will have to go read about the suspension setup on the aspire and see if it handles as good STOCK as a civic does, or find any other reason why this car can't be in the same class :D:icon16:

JDM DOHC ZC is 140HP stock.

The SOHC version comes with 120+.

The version that came with the USDM 1st-Gen Integras had 115.
