looks like their is some glue where the fender and body kit meet on the driver side? I had the same problem, Really pissed me off, got most of it off by scraping it with a knife

Thats the yellos and silver part of the decal. It does look like glue now that i look at it.

What's the lowdown on this kit? How thick is the body, and how good is the engine detail? Lots of flash? How does it all fit? How are the proportions? I haven't seen one in the store yet...

Thanks so far for the comments.. The kit beside it is a Dodge Charger I built when the movie first came out. Its all custom to match the movie... I see i diorama coming on... the kit so far has had no flash, just little problems on straight lines and matching of body kit to wheel well. The decals are alos very good. There are a few sponsor decals missing and the #12. Everything else is there. Interior is good (2 NOS bottles, molded subs and amps, monster Tach, 2 choices pof seats.)...engine detail is awesome( twin turbo with custom intake for turbo.) Im doing everything like the movie...down to every screen and thing in the real car. Ill post pics later...im at work. Check back.

with all the negative publicity surrounding this kit, i'm pleasantly surprised with what you've done to it. the kit looks good in my eyes. i wouldn't mind getting one myself :D ... well... maybe when i start to thin down my collection:iceslolan

It does look very much like the car in the movie!
Also, the decals seem very well made. The proportions seem to be sufficient for the supra (not expecting Tamiya quality off course, but I do agree, you are doing, and did a hell of a job !

Thats most of the update...haven't done much of anything else. I've started on the suspension...no lowering IMO, sits just fine. For you people tha want to do this kit, I've found no problems so far with the parts and flash. I'll keep you updated.

Sorry about Image Station...I've been trying to upload images all day, but it keeps saying "can't find file" when you click on the link.... So i went to Image Station...I'l get some more pics tomorrow and post them through AF.com..If it makes everyone happy....lol. Thanks for the comments so far..wait till its done.

When you try to use pics off of image station, you have to take the .orig.jpg off the end so there's only whole/bunch/of/stuff.jpg

It's the amp rack...but ok...Theres about a half inch between the gas depression and the bottom of the interior....Heres some pics that might help..

When I get around to buying this kit, I will be forced to buy more Hoppin Hydros amps to replace those...monster looking things...Seems like the only bad things about the kit are the amps and the wing (too high)

yo mustancobrasvt you could cut the side amps and place them like this.1 cut the amp .2 place the amp like this.so it looks like the real supra amps.

true, but the others don't have the good decal and have some other thing strange like seat and interior...

great job! it look better than on the box :bigthumb: only 3 thing I can see bad about this kit.

- the front bumper (we all know)

- the suspention is setting a bit high.. 1 or 2mm less would look better.. or other rims.

- there is missing a decal on the front bumper where there is a toyota logo normaly.. it's should be a small design... domn, look like I will need to make my own again :biggrin:

The decal on the movie is of pinstriping..and theres no way i have that much artistic ability to do that.. Ill work on a few other things too..BTW..Bellajios are a little too big on the it. If you work it out the actual rim would be 22" where the actual rims are 19"s i think.. Aslo they are too wide. Yes suspension is a little high...gotta work on that too..otherwise..the kit is great. IMO:bigthumb:

Hey man great job, but if I can say....I don't like the wheels they seem to have to much rubber not enough rim and the ride height is just too high. But it still looks good for amt.

Well, for starters I didn't mean to get under your skin with my previous post; I just like to be honest. I will be doing this kit myself once I finish a few others that I have, but the FF Supra is definitely on the list. Just to make things clear, you did a great job and so did the others that did the Amt FF Supra, but it always comes out sitting to high so I will have to do some lowering to get it to my liking and probably some wheels for it also. No attack was launched toward you and no smoking gun lies in my front yard......OK ! With that being said I apologize for any misscommunication on my part.:dunno: :sorry: :2cents:

I can't believe this thread is still going. The Black car in the background is my replica of Dom's Charger. I made it in plans of a diorama..which is still in the planning stages. Since AF's upload isnt working..i'll get pics up and use webshots. I'll post them tomorrow after my comp at noon.
