Your poll is funky :bloated:

Go with performance first.....get the car running awesome while it can still be a sleeper, that way you can have some fun with it when you kill people that don't expect the car to fly.....then worry about entertainment, gotta have some good sounds, right?
Then maybe looks...if you think it really needs it.....

If you're not saticefy with the power it has already, you can just upgrade the turbo to an IHI VF23 with some injectors (550) would be enough. Get an uppipe and 4" downpipe and you'll be set for power.

And then your transmision will go BOOOOOOM!!!

Not trying to bash um, just a warning. All three WRX owners I know have each had to replace their gearboxes. Non of them had more then 300 crank ft/lbs of torque. Just a minder, specialy if you have an aftermarket clutch. BE CAREFUL!

there are more trannys that brake down due to AWD launches. It just seems that most like the run the 1/4. You don't see trannys going out much in Japan because they don't launch at every stop light. Maybe your WRX friends don't do that but most do it because they want to be quicker at every stoplight.

The problem that some have been talking about is case flex. Under load, the case flex and that puts the gears in a situation where they're holding on the edge of their teeths. I agree with this thought because if you've seen the NEW STi 6 speed, the case has a lot of those vertical and horizontal ridges. It makes for a stronger tranny case.

Interesting, I wonder if welding some supports to the outside of the case would help?
