Made my own custom armrest....

i made my own armrest it looks kinda good but it kinda look weird too.......its boxy and doesnt fit in i dont think but hey who cares as long as it holds a drink and my arm can rest on it....lol.....heres sum pics it only took me like 2 hours to make it was mostly the carpet that took the longest.....

pretty cool, you shoulda done the top piece with something softer, like foam padding and vinyl or another fabric, you might get rug burn on your elbows, and then how will you explain that to the wife?

lol haha i have a long time before i get a wife im only 16 i was thinking of putting foam on the top but its not that bad...i put my elbow on the carpet i got in the back before i did this and it didnt hurt so its all good

my arms are so damn long that i never take my right elbow off the armrest, not even when i shift into 5th. so i guess thats why the first thing that popped into my head was comfort. the stock fabric on the GSR console i have sucked ass, thats why its red suede now. check my interior pics for details

not bad! but isnt it hard to grab your drink while driving? that looks like kind of an awkward place.

i have a OEM civic armrest. I am a midget :frown: so i can't even use the damn thing.

haha no i cant drive my car....1- cause it doesnt have and engine and 2- cause i dont have my license so i dont kno how it will work but its that bad when your just sitting there.......

In the second pic it looks like a felt wrapped cinder block.....pretty creative though

haha yeah i kinda does but im prolly goign to make another one like a different shape that doesnt look like a box this one it all boxy but it will work for now so who cares.......

it looks good, but why dont you use plexi glass, heat it up and mold it, cut it attach the peices then fibreglass, sand and paint, mint, well thats how us minitruckers do it, have you ever seen some of the f-ed up designs minitruckers come up with for the interiors, i have my dash and consol molded together in my truck, well almost done

its coo - i know how it is not drivin and cars not even really half done to drive yet.. Mine runs and all.. but i got head and tail lights cut out and molding new ones in. And im waitin for my dad to get back from FL. to help out w/that.. hes the brains behind the plans. I know how to do most of what hes talkin bout, but all his power tools are at his workshop :frown: sposed to have liscense too , 2 1/2 weeks ago shoulda got it.. never did and got to wait for parents to get back from MI. AND FL. , home alone til the 24 !! :bananasmi keep that custom work comin man ! and the posting :wink:
