hi all,

someone remind me- if the alignment is good, is it the rear axle that creates the most wear on the tires? i want to say this is true but it's been a long time since i put on 70k miles/ year.

tia,

this is true as the rear of the van doesn't have as much weight sitting on them like the fronts do that is why they say to rotate your tires every oil change. i had a ply. voyager a few years ago and i got it from the dealer and when i got it home put new tires on it the rears felt scallopy (raised tread pattern) and the fronts felt fine put new tires on and it felt fine and was told the reason the tires did that was improper tire rotation and that they should be done every 5-8k and that won't happen so proper tire rotation is crucial to these vans as all the weight is on the front tires.
