I have a 1990 Civic LX 4 door.
I have a GTSpec muffler which is just like the Apexi N1 muffler.
I know how in the 4 door the piping is bent sideways and out the left side of the car.
Can I just skip the custom pipe bending and just run it straight out to the RIGHT side of the car? Or would it sit too low?
Thanks,
Owen

just run it out the right ... it will be just fine ... if I could do mine again i would do it out the right also, cause right now it comes out the left, but has like 90 degree pipe bends to get it there.

What if I dont cut out the muffler section and just bolt it under there anyways?
Will it still fit correctly and not touch ground too low?

Thanks,
Owen

You might melt your bumper if it to close to it

its going to sit a lot lower because theres no groove in the rear end on the passenger side..

it wont work. either cut a hole, or bend the piping to accomadate the drivers side.

i've seen ppl do a 45 degree angle out the drivers side, that also works.

Is there any size pipe I can buy that will be possible to bend without a pipe bender? My muffler has a 2.5" inlet so can I must buy some 2.25" pipe and bend it correctly?
Then weld it on?

Thanks,
Owen

I dumped mine on the passenger side because my muffler was too big. My mechanic put it on and it sits fine and doesn't rub or heat my bumper or anything. Just check out my pics.

big bear, that exhaust has to get hella hot to melt that bumper, meaning if it melts the bumper from being close to it, you got something messed up. Mine sits really really close to the bumper and it doesn't melt it at all.

My opinion if your gonna run it out the passenger side, cut the bumper just like there is a cut out on the drivers side. Take the piece you just cut out, and put it on the drivers side. Takes a little bit of work, but they should have some bumper repair kits at a parts store and you could use that to replace that piece to the drivers side.

naw fuk that, just replace it to the stock side (left) and instead of making it go straight out just kick it out to the side a little bit like a wrx or eclipse. thats how i did mine and it looks hotter then if it were straight out.
