Oh, how I hesitate to start this conversation!

Everytime someone starts a thread about putting HID into the stock headlight reflector, on any automotive forum, anywhere, the discussion gets hijacked by the "preachers" about the illegality and the glare from misadjusted beams. I request the "preachers" to kindly not post to this thread, because those opinions and issues have been more than well documented. Your arguments are 100% valid. I do not discount them in any way. I am simply looking for some information from people that have done the modification.

Here, I would like to hear only from 2nd generation (1996 to 2002) SL drivers who have HID for their low beams: Please advise whether you found the mod scattered the light too far high and wide, or whether you found the stock reflector managed the HID output well, without causing glare to other drivers.

Thanks to all!

You may want to search the SaturnFans (http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/) or Sixthsphere (http://www.sixthsphere.com/forum/forum.php) Saturn forums. You most likely won't get any replies here. Nothing against this forum, it's just that very few S-Series owners have installed HID lamps to begin with so your chances of getting any relevant responses on here are slim to none. I normally don't like to redirect people from this forum, but in this case I think it's your best bet.

Even on the other forums you may not get many replies, but I am certain that you will get more/better feedback there. The Sixthsphere forum is not noob friendly, so consider yourself warned. BUT there there is alot of good useful info on there with regard to modifications. The SaturnFans forum is a lot more forgiving, and is a better source of general information IMO. I would advise that you do a good forum search at either place before posting a new thread.

Good Luck
