Awesome build, especially considering all the work you put into this.
The end result is great, and you can hardly tell this started out as a regular Tamiya mini...

Hi Wolla,

I replied on a certain other forum how lovely I thought your van was, so didn't bother to here, as I'd been watching & posting on your wip thread there. But as for some reason that they won't explain they've pulled your thread (just got a ridiculous PM from a 'mod' as I'd posted a thread asking where it had gone!) I'll say it again here - fantastic job, beautiful van!!

hi keef, . someone had altered the number plate to read NOT2 CLEVA on that certain other forum ??? when i asked why i got no reply, so i posted on the thread how unhappy i was that someone could deface other peoples work and they pulled the thread completely..maybe they feel threatened as it is a good job:lol:

Seems a shame to lose such a great model from the site, & a bit petty just to pull the thread! I did post on there as to whether you could still add the fuel filler cap that you'd mentioned you'd missed - that was before I realised that vans had a totally different arrangement than cars! Would be easy on a car but I can see the problem with a van now!!

As an aside my son & I have just bought a fully rally prepared Clubman to do hillclimbs & sprints in, so I shall shortly be trying a Mini conversion of my own! Hope I can get it somewhere near the quality of your van!

as for the plate if you look at the last pic on here^ i must of posted that by mistake as it is going to be in there mag so i thought it would be a nice touch, but the other forum must have taken offence to this. ooops, lol

That's what I'm hoping to do, but it'll be my first big conversion, so we'll have to see how it goes!!

I thought that an 'ordinary' member couldn't have altered your plate, so I'm guessing a 'mod' must have done it - so that seems even more petty to me!! Why not just blank it out...??

Anyway, at least the van can still be still be seen here!
