2010 impala lt 3.5 flex fuel i bought it in september complained of rough ride at delivery they said they would take care of it so they balanced the wheels and it was better... i bought it from an acura dealer with 33,000 mi they sold it to me AS IS NO WARANTY but it said remainder of gm factory waranty so after a few months the ride started degrading and the passenger side headlight taking on water, one dealership told me that the water was normal and was not concerened about the suspension i think since i didnt buy it from them they could give 2 shits. so discouraged i went home.knowing i had the 36,000mi warranty time was ticking i tried another chey dealer a few more miles up the road felt like i got the same response not as bad but felt like i was not wanted there. finaly i talked to a guy i know thst comes in to work and he works at another GM brand dealer and i explained my problems told me to take it to there facility and i would not get the runaround i thought great finaly..the very first timei make an appointment sat morning 9:30 i show up and was told "i have no appts on the books for the day" i thought i am screwed but with them instead of giving up i emailed the conformation email to the service writer that told me that, and on monday contacted the original contact and rescheduled they got the car in after a few hrs they called "found trailing arm bad replaced it, ordered new headlight you can come on up and get it" and it was covered.sadly after a few more weeks the ride issues were back worse then ever. i contacted them and agreed to get it back in they had it all day and then called me with the question has this car been wrecked? no not that i am aware of?!?! they said that they adjusted a few things but could not find anything wrong. but they showed me paint overspray on the rear driver strut spring, so now i feel they think i am lying but i have no knowledge of the car being wrecked and the carfax said clean the car now has 36,500mi and it rides like a 1960's dump truck you feel every bump, crack, crease in the road and when you have a couple of peolple in car it pulls some times to right sometimes to the left i dont want to deal with this while having to pay $350 a month for the next few years for a car that is screwed up what should i do

You need an independent expert, maybe a body shop to look at this car, carfax may not show all accidents in all states. Also have a qualified tech look at the car and drive it for a second opinion and inspection, from here we cannot diagose your issues.

As Max said, nearly impossible for us to say for sure whats wrong. There are a couple of bullitens relating to rear suspension noises for your car: PIC5276A and 07-03-09-001J. They may or may not be your problem. Either way it sounds like no one wants to spend the time to diagnose your vehicle. Noises can be very hard to isolate, but with the proper tools, like "chassis ears", and some paitence, it can be done. No one likes to chase noises, but if there is a problem, it needs to be done. You're vehicle is still under warranty, if the dealer won't help you, get in contact with the dealers zone rep, or contact GM customer assistance. Just be aware, if it is determained that the cause of the noise is accident related, you may be billed for the repairs. Good Luck!

the trouble with going to the zone rep or gm customer service is that i feel bad in a way about complaining about the dealership in question since they were the only ones to try to help but i guess the problem is still not corrected and in regaurds to max's post about getting a second opinion i was going to call a local body shop but my wife fraked out saying and i agree i just bought a new car i should not have to pay a body shop hundreds of dollars for a problem i should not be having..unfortunatly this is the newest car i have ever had and most expensive and it is worse then the 11 year old buick i sold and my previous 2o year old buick with 250,000mi  and did not need to buy a new one but wanted something more modern and sportier i had looked at a new and year old lacrosse's but they want way too much for me a month so my second choice was the impala

There is a lesson to be learned here.....buying a 2010 vehicle is not going to be cheap......I would be leary of buying a fairly new vehicle, from any dealer, "as is"......in some states, that is illegal, depending on year and mileage.....
Why would you buy an expensive car from one dealer, but then have to go to another dealer, who you have had no dealings with, to have it fixed? Do you think dealerships want to fix other dealer's problems? Do you think the Acura salesman is going to bat for you at a GM dealership? Why didn't you buy your Impala from a Chevy dealer? If you did, you would not be having these problems.......could have even used the price from the Acura dealer as a bargaining point....and who buys a car, when it has a suspension problem? You tell them to fix it before you purchase it....

i did not know it had suspension problems i told them the ride was rough and they balanced and rotated the tires and it made a difference but not for long and i had looked at a GM dealer but my credit rating of upper 600"s was not good enough so the acura dealer could get it done and it did feel like a rush deal a young gun sales man even though i told him i wanted a impala he had a nissan already wrote up and he doubled the down payment and i balked and the down stayed where i said and he brought the impala over from other lot and it was getting dark and raining at the time of my test drive he had it wrapped up and some small concessions in writing that evening but for me to finish everything the following day i had driven 3-5 different impalas between the gm dealer and mine YES i feel stupid for not checking it out further especialy with my background in auto parts but i had been working for a month to find one and i guess when i saw it (the first red one with black interior) i guess my better judgement went out the window and i was lead to belive it had more features that needed set up (bluetooth) (XM Radio) which it did not and after renting a buick lacrosse for family vacation i fell in love with those features and planned to set up the next morning after buying. read owners manual and none of the instructions worked......whats this sarah about

You may also want to do some research into the "lemon law" in your state.

Good morning,
After reading your thread, I want to apologize for the frustrating experience you're having. I am a Customer Service Representative for General Motors, and can help you get a Customer Assistance Case set up so that we can assist in evaluating what is going on with your vehicle. If you would like to do this, please get in touch with me through a private message, or if you have difficulty with that, send an email to [email protected] with "Attn:Sarah" somewhere in the subject line. If you would please include the last 8 digits of your VIN and current mileage (I see it was around 33,000 when you purchased it), the name of your involved dealership, and your name and contact information, we could get that set up for you.
Best,
Sarah
