Air Re-circulation Setting: Where Is It?

I'm getting my 2003 Windstar interior professionally cleaned as it reeks of heavy cigar smoke. The guy that is doing it said that he uses, among other things, a deodorizing "bomb". He said he opens the "bomb" with the car completely sealed shut and sets the climate control to "Re-circulate" in order to deodorize the air vents.

I looked throughout my owners manual and I can't find anything on a re-circulation setting on the climate controls. Am I missing something or is all the air drawn from the OUTSIDE through the cabin air filter?

If there is not an air re-circulation setting what should I tell him to do to get the vents clean?

I think the only position that recirculates the interior air is the Max AC position and only out the dash vents. You can force the air to go thru the cooling coil and the heater core by seting the Temp control to the mid point (between red and blue)

I do not know of a way to get recirculated air out of the lower or defroster outlets.
