I've notice the repeated comments of the stalling 2001 ford windstars and there has yet to be a solution. My ford is now stalling while driving 30-50 mph which is pretty scary and life threatening, and yet ford has not come up with a solution. Has anyone been able to resolve this?

There is more than ONE possibility, so I will give you a list that comes to my mind:
(I've high-lighted most likely culprits.)
Fuel ... filters, fuel pump and inlet screen
Ignition .... coil, cables, plugs
Air intake .... upper manifold hold-down bolts, plugged inlet jets, vacuum leaks
Engine control ... cam shaft position sensor, synchronizer, crank shaft postion sensor. Intake runner control actuator linkages.
If your under hood is very dirty, it may need pressure washing. This will certainly aggravate the condition, but hopefully will help exposed the nature of the problem. Must be done by someone who is able to handle an engine shut-down....which is very likely!!

I have changed the cam shaft sensor and checked the alternator but the problem has not been resolved. It's so strange when it happens, it seems to be on a timer of some kind. I need to have the van on for more then 5 minutes before I drive and it works fine, until I shut it off again to go into a store and return to the vehicle and when i try to drive immediately it will stall again. ABS, engine, oil, lights all turn on and engine dies. I'm disconnecting my alarm cause that seems to be going crazy when the engine shuts down. Then I have to wait 1minute before it restarts. Tomorrow I'm going to have the fuel pump checked, but I don't want to invest anymore cash since I'm at the point of buying a new vehicle. This 2001 is in great condition with only 93k but I can now down size my vehicle since its just the wife and I. Anyone interested I'm all ears. Just don't want to pass on a headache without warning. Thanks for the help..
