I have been using esso 10w30 xd3 for years it is heavy duty for gas and diesel engines , this oil in now no longer being made by esso
now our dealer has mobil 1000 10w30 to take its place .
just wondering our car and truck burn no oil the truck has 190,000 miles on it and it runs and looks like new same with the car at 75,000 miles
so should i mix half and half the next change since i still have about 15 qts. of the 10w30 esso xd3 left over.
just wondering thank you
Peter

I would use up the canadian ESSO XD3 blended synthetic oil. then go full synthetic with mobil ONE..you can mix these oils no problem..not good to mix viscosity..
many auto manufacturers now use FULL SYNTHETIC..BLENDED OILS ARE GOING OUT ON NEW VEHICLES..
with regular oil changes and high quaility filters synthetic does produce excellant performance with low engine wear and good below zero starts..
