Hi folks, I have my Windstar for several years in Central Europe taking care of it by myself. I need to proceed some "suspension and steering works", but I have no idea which autoparts brand is good and which is not in US.
I need to order front shock absorbers, upper bearing, front wheel bearings, front brake rotors and shoes.
Now I can order ATLAS break parts, GABRIEL shock absorbers and ATLAS wheel bearings. Are these brands good enaugh? Well, I can go to buy OEM parts by local Ford dealer sure, but for my 96 3.0 Windstar which drives 15000 miles a year so expensive stuff :-)
What about Raybestos brake parts? I've read that it's a bit piece of c.... :-(
Thanks a lot for any hints, MarPac.

Check to see if you can order through the Rockauto website.
For struts, I recommend Monroe Qucik Struts which include the spring, upper bearing, mount etc.....all in 1 assembly.
For suspension parts, I recommend Moog.
For brakes, Raybestos is good, but they have 3 price/quality points.
Cheap is "Service Grade"
Good is "Professional Grade"
Best is "Advanced Technology"
I have used their "Advanced Technology" rotors and liked them.
I like Akebono Ceramic brake pads.
Raybestos "Advanced Technology" Ceramic pads should also be good.
