Hello my friends,
I'm starting my new project, which will be a diorama of Amazon crossing, in Camel Trophy.
The kit i'm going to use is the well known Italeri kit:

In which i'm going to make a lot of changes in order to make it like the competing one.

The Italeri kit, is totally unsuitable for Camel Trophy, and so it had to be chopped off in many places. The interior will be reconstructed since it has not rear seats, and in the body, i had to rescribe the panel lines, and make the back doors. Also the grills were cut out since they were out of scale...

Maybe i should leave the drivers door open...i'll see...

The new back doors were needed hinges, so i replicate them with the help of epoxy putty and hot plastic.

The rear door was also cut since i want to display the interior work and also it didnt fit right.

The roof will be totally changed since it needs a hell of work in order to be correct:banghead:
That's all for now, thank you for your time :bigthumb:

A very cool and very exciting project. I'll be following along. This is something I'd like to build someday, but for now I'll have to settle for watching your build.

A small update since we go deeper to this project!
I made a new base for the chassis, since the original was very soft and it wouldnt tolerate the conversions. I used thick plastic glued with epoxy glue. This is only the basis and is not in its final stage:

Check if everything is aligned:

Then i made new bases for the rear seats:

and i have opened the drivers' door:

Lastly, i slowly started to cut out parts of the roof, since it needs a lot of major changes:

That's all for today folks, hope you like it!
