Brake Issues

I have an 06 Impala LTZ with about 49k on it. I put new rotors and pads on the front a week ago and had not problms. Now all of a sudden the brakes sound like they are grinding on the drivers side. I have rechecked everything and do not see anything wrong. Does anybody have an idea what could be the issue.

when do you hear the grinding noise??
all the time,just when brakes are applied??
when the brakes were replaced were the calipers n pins lubed??
were the rotors cleaned before installing them??
was there any anti squeal/disc brake quite applied to pads??

I only hear the grinding when the brakes are applied when coming to a stop. The caliper pins were lubed, rotors were cleaned and disc quiet was applied to pads. I was wondering if they are just still trying to break in.

What brand of brake pad did you use?

I does not sound like a bearing or the rear brakes. Sounds like it is coming from the drivers tire. I used Raybestos pads and rotors for replacement. I used them before and did not have any issues.

yah sounds plays tricks on you sometimes.

Pull the wheel on the driver's side or what ever side is making the noise. Pull the caliper and inspect the brake pads. If they are scored or show metal they are bad. Make the auto place replace your rotor too. Also check the bearings and make sure they were pressed in the hub correctly. If not take the car to the dealer and have them look at it. You might have bad pads right out of the box. Did this happen right away or increase in sound over time?
