95 windstar with a 3.8 lfi

a friend of mine started the job of changing his waterpump and decided he couldn't do the job so he brought it to me.

I have changed the pump and put everything back together UNTILL i get to the alternator.
Since I did not take it apart I am having trouble figuring this out

i get the alternator back on BUT as I try to attach the alternator bracket it doesnt look like it goes any way I turn it. I am simply stumped

all the books and photos i can find are all the 3.0 not the 3.8 and are totally different than what i have..

Is there anyone out there with a 95 windstar 3.8 that could take a photo of the alternator and the bracket and upload it here so i can get this thing out of my garage....

I am sorry to say that your alternator is completely different in mounting for your 3.8L '95 as comparted to my 3.8L '96.
I looked both years up on the rockauto website, and the pictured alternator is clearly different.
So, as you mention, information from newer windstars will not be helpful.

Thanks wiswind trust me I looked thru every photo you have on your 96 that is on Webshots before ever making this post.. great job posting those by the way and I will make surety come back here and post some photos and instructions on this when I figure it out. Unless someone posts something here helping me out before hand..
