Wacko Horn

Well I have one note blowing on my 2005 Impala horn.

Blows fuses once in a while. So I replace the 15 amp fuse in the box under the dash. I have checked the relay and thats good.

Today I got adventurous and pulled the headlight assy out. Was easy to get out of the car with the 2 plastic retainers.

I pulled the horn assy. One horn had moisture in it. Looks like water was in it for a long time and it turned black. The other blows just fine.

Is there a chance that it may work again? You can feel it click inside. I took one horn off the bracket to check the other horn. So no vibrations would mess anything up.

Or should I go invest a 32 buck venture to Auto Zone for replacements?

Thanks John

Sometimes, you can "adjust them into working" by turning the little screw on the side- otherwise, I'd go to a local boneyard, or even on-line- where it'd be a $5 part.

went to the junkyard and got one out of a 2002 Impala that was t-boned. Works great
