96 coolant leak from rear of engine

I noticed that the temp gauge on my 96 was climbing so i checked underneath to see if it was leaking and i noticed it leaking like a shower head type thing. This was towards the center part of the car towards the rear. Is there any pipes there or hoses that may have broken? I have the rear heat option in the car. The car was fine until i parked it because of the snow storms that we had here a while back and when i restarted the car after a couple of weeks that is when it started to happen. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

There are a lot of possible leaks.
You will need to look further.
At the rear of the engine, there are the heater hoses that go into the firewall to get to the front heater.
Then there are the heater lines for the rear.
Hopefully it is something like that, and not a gasket on the motor, like the lower intake manifold gaskets.

I had done the replacement of the intake manifold gasket so i know that it is not the culprit. I am wondering if there are tubes rather than hoses that go to the rear heater? when i parked the car before the snow storm it was running great with no problems or leaks. It was only after two weeks when i was able to start it again that i am having this problem of it getting hot and that leak which seems to be something from the bottom of the van. I was wondering if something that was already compromised didn't finish breaking with the cold weather that we had in our area at the time. If you have any info i would greatly appreciated. Your info is what helped me do the lower intake manifold gasket replacement. Thanks again for your input. It is greatly appreciated.

I am not at all familiar with the rear heating unit, as my '96 did not have a rear heat unit.
So, that is a possible leak point, but I have no pointers to help you with that.

The front heater is fed through the firewall about even with the lower intake manifold......toward the passenger side of the engine compartment.
There are 2 hoses, an inlet and a outlet.
They are about 3-4" apart from each other......
One hose goes about 6" or so from the firewall to a fitting......not sure if there is another hose before it gets to the metal tube that goes to the top of the water pump or not.
The other hose is long.....goes around the driver's side of the motor and connects to the lower intake manifold, very roughly, above and inboard from the thermostat.
From there.....it connects to a metal "bypass" tube that passes through the lower intake manifold, and turns 90 degrees as is comes out the base of the lower intake manifold on the passenger side......and then has a "U" shaped hose that connects to another tube that goes into the water pump.
