I did a little break at work because I am finishing another model.

Continued.
Rear hatch turns out to be very flat

and original

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/wcc04.jpg

so I came up with something like

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1443.jpg

I prepared to paint the frame and rear axle

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1482.jpg

I also started to model the back along with place on the registration plate

hinges - idea by amt and corrected by me

but it seemed to me a little too big, I decided to do something similar to the original

Nice! :) It would look even nicer if you could make a cover sleeve for that hinge like the one in the image.

Big fat fatty
04-12-2011, 11:42 AM
this really is coming along nicely. The bonnet (hood for all you Americans) looks amazing, the intake vents are perfect! are there any other mods to do to the body?

keep up the great work!

It would look even nicer if you could make a cover sleeve for that hinge like the one in the image.

This would have been too difficult, but ... read below :)

I glued inside the box wheel arch

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1876.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1877.jpg

and rear fenders

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1881.jpg

I've done something like that

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1882.jpg

plate that imitates the mounting hinge. In the holes will go metal rivets.
I did the locking flaps. Is not yet glued to the box.

Fuel tank mounting

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1880.jpg

On the photos of a real car I saw on the edge of the fender something like a seal

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/1010tr_091955_ford_f100left_rear_angle.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/klapa01-1.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/1009cct_07_o1953_ford_f100tailgate-2.jpg

I decided to do something similar with a wire with a diameter of 0.5 mm

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1884.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1885.jpg

but 0,5 came out a little too big, so I used 0,3mm

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1886.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1887.jpg

much better.

I started to install the rear suspension to lead the exhaust pipe, and I broke a mount :(

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1965.jpg

I had to make a new handles

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1970.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/F100/IMG_1973.jpg

On the brass parts for the front suspension, what do you use to put the rods together? Solder, glue?

Amazing work on this build. Im currently building a 50 F100 myself and this thread has been VERY inspirational. I was wondering how to customize the suspension and I think you just solved that problem for me. Awesome work!
