The Simpsons

i wanna see if i can compile a list of places where the simpsons "DONT" live so i can narrow down my search as to there location, if you can contribute, then post the name of the state and what episode it was in.


ok this is what i know so far, they live in the USA.

not New Jersey cuz when marge bought the canyonero, she told another driver to "go back to new jersey"

not New York cuz homer got a letter from the state of NY saying his car was illegaly parked there.

not mass. cuz skinner was trying to sell jimbo jones, and jimbo stated "is this legal, man" skinner replied "only here, and in mass."

if you can add more please do.

I really dont think theres an answer. I love the Simpsons and all, its my favorite show by far, but seriously get a life;)

well if u watch the episode where they get kicked out of mexico or whatever, they have a map with x's of evry place they cant go into. And all of them are x'd off except denver and arizona and whatever state they live in but i cant remember, its somwhere around the great lakes.

Well, theres only a few Springfield's in the USA... They dont say in the show cause its a running gag.

And if you notice, the city's landscape changes for what the scrip calls for. For example, since they're supposed to be located in the middle of a state. Why is it that the town of springfield has a coastline with a beach and a port?

I counted about 50 Cities in this country alone that have the name Springfield in it.

Maybe thats why the show takes place in Springfield. Cause there are so many of them, people all over can somewhat relate to the city/people? Interesting thought.

I still think they're located in Springfield, IL... just for the fact that there are two cities in IL named Springfield... which is kinda odd.

there are only three states with the town of shelbyville and springfield in it.


but oh well i know its a running gag, but lisa said in a recent episode

"its not hard to figure out where we live, you just have to put the pieces together"

THEY ACTUALLY LIVE IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY...THE "STATE" OF NORTHER KENTUCKY TO BE EXACT

yeah, they say northern kentucy at the end of the "behind the laugher" episode

northern kentucky eh, i gotta re-see that episode.

Well, Matt Groening grew up in Springfield, Oregon with a family that closely resembles that of the Simpsons... Seeing as how he created the simpsons, and grew up in Springfield Oregon.... It seems like it should be Oregon.

i would have to say any state with a big body of water like the great lakes because they go to the beach all the time.....
