Which version of AutoCAD are you using?
I have 2002 here, as well as using SolidWorks and Pro/E.

that was last year...i was 22 at the time and given a "leadership" position over the cad room....well that day we were slow and the boss wanted us to come to his house and help him move....well i was plotting some very important drawings that was to be shipped out that day and the boss told us "let's go"...well i passed the task over to the new guy (not his 1st time in the business)...told him to the the drawings off the plotter and my desk and to take them downstairs...well i come back in the next day and guess what...drawings were sitting on my desk that i told him to take....the boss is steaming mad b/c the secretary downstairs didn't look thru them to make sure they were all there just took the guys word that they were....he asks me what happened and i tell him the truth...i told the guy to take the drawings off the "plotter" and my "desk" and he didn't take them off my desk....well they played it like i was putting the blame on him and i could have said "it won't happen again blah blah blah" but he asked what happened and i told them and i got fired:mad: but now i draw up lubrication systems for automatic lubrication systems on construction equipment, dump trucks, tractor trailers....etc...don't like the job and would like to find another...but don't want a lot of jobs on my resume

sorry for the long story

I'm another that has been useing autocad for a living for 14-15 years
My Job just requires 2D mechanical detail and layout drawings.
Sample here (http://www.cleevemh.co.uk/drawings/test-plant.dwf) but you will need a dwf plugin first.

i work in the ductwork airside package, me and my main project manager get given the prestige work. its pretty cool, loads of money availiable to buy gadgets for the office coz no1 else understands what they are for and think i need them!!!!!! but the money is fantastic and i am learning all the time, and the mor i know the more i earn, we have used a thig called A3D, which the whole job and building are drawin in 3d, including manufacture drawings. Main benifits include real time walk rounds and auto clash detect, lus the fitters love the 3rd angle views when installing. at present we are working in blackfriers on a 350,000 square foot office block for mellon bank, very very nice, biggest floorplan in the city at the moment.
