Removing outer door trim 03 impala

Can anyone tell me how to go about removing the black metal trim piece on the rearmost edge of the window of the driver's door. These metal pieces are rusting badly and I would like to try and repair them. I have included a picture for reference. Thanks.

I believe they are held in by nuts on the inside of the door.
