:confused: How did the subject "Wuts in ur engine?" change to WEED! for my opinon on weed or those other dumb drugs, i think its jus dumb, no offence to all who smokes but back to the original subject, i would want an RB26DETT engine in my car:D ...but wait, i dont have a car yet:(

ya i made this post to tlak about cars not about my habbits or my weed use or how chicago schooling has failed me hahahahaha

I use to smoke weed. As a matter of fact, I smoked A LOT of weed.

Age 16-22 or 23? I smoked. At one point, I was smoking a bag a day.

Yep, their is side effects. Like bad short term memory, laziness, hunger, but see, those aren't the only ones.

If you smoke when your feeling bad or sad, it just intensifies it. It can really ruin your day.

Weed is addictive, this is a fact, as I am typing here.

First you get into it, then you do it more, and more, till your addicted.

It's not a hard core drug like cocaine, or crack, but it is suttle, and effective.

I can't tell someone to not smoke it, but I suggest you don't.

It can get you into trouble, financially, legally, emotionally, even physically(glade Im a pretty good driver).

If it wasn't for the Lord Jesus pulling me out of that hell I was in, I would have been dead a long time ago.

Just dont do it.

btw, I have a 305ho under the hood.

I feel like I'm getting worse at memory and I've never smoked weed before, I dunno the more I learn the more stupid I feel I become or something haha. I wouldn't worry about how abstract the post has become compared to what the hell we were talking about in the first place, that always happens here, just go with the flow.

Back on subject...

I have a 400M which I want to get under the hood of a SA22 RX7, probably the '81 I can get for $50.

400ci Ford V8, bore of a smallblock, deck height of a big block.

Bore - 4.0", Stroke - 4.0", 8:1 compression, maybe 175hp. New build will have 8.3:1 compression, EFI swap from a MAF 5.0 HO, high lift cam, exhaust, and basic port/chamber cleanup. I'm estimating about 300hp, 375lbft with these mods on 86 octane gas :)

Later mods would call for a higher lift/longer duration cam, Cleveland 4 barrel heads, which have a 58cc combustion chamber compared to the 76cc chamber of the 400M head, making for an end CR of 10.3:1. At this stage, I might offset grind the crank, and get stronger rods, for about 436ci. This build should be good for 500+ hp, and well over 500lbft.

If I really wanted to drop money into this motor, I'd get a custom crank, good for a 4.5" stroke, and would displace roughly 464ci. Of course, with a forged steel crank in there, I'd have to have forced induction to justify the cost ;)

Trans: A th350 auto.

Mods to motor and trans: TA Performance intake, 800 cfm Holley dp, TA 212 cam bumped +4*, Hooker super comp headers, and a b&m hole shot converter.

That's a big carb you've got on there, what sort of lift is that cam making?

2.5L v6 MTX hotshot CAI, soon to be Hotshot gen 4-5 headers. Guessing somewhere around 170+ hp and around 168 ft lbs of torque :D

As for the large carb, what can I say buick V8s love gas !:) When I ordered my cam and intake from TA Perf I told the tech guy about the 800 4011 carb I had lying around and asked if I could use it, he said it would be just fine. I've only found a few articles on 350 buicks and in both of them it was stated to use AT LEAST a 750 carb.
The cam I picked up is somewhat mild, nothing to nuts:
.459"IN and .470"EX lift. / 218*IN and 230*EX dur. @ .050 / 265*IN and 280*EX adv. dur. / 110* lobe sep. / advanced +4*
BTW I've got a 3.55 posi out back.

Red Neck: I've got a '73 firebird formula too, right now though there's no motor in it, I'm making it into my drag/street race car. Right now I'm planing on building a 400 with one of those eagle 4.25" stroker cranks, eagle rods, ross pistons (don't know if I'm going pump gas with 10:1:( or race gas with 14.5:1 :devil: ), a LARGE solid roller cam, some fully ported Wenzler heads, and a ported Edelbrock Victor intake.
