Grand am steering issue

My 99 3.4l Grand Am has a steering issue. It was driven backward while turning and hit a solid object. It turns now harder than it would without power steering. I have visually looked at the steering rods and I believe the passanger side is broke or bent at the knuckle under the rubber boot. My question at hand is where can I find a schematic of the steering system of the car? Also is there another GM model car that is interchangable with the particular make and model. I would like to use salvage yard if possible. Thanks and looking forward to the input.

Try the parts diagrams/lists in the tips&maintenance section of this forum:

I know there's a great deal of similarity between the Grand Am and Oldsmobile Alero.
Hope this helps.

You guys are great. All the info that I needed. Should be a fun project. I bought this car for 50 bucks, I have rebuilt the exhaust repainted with rattle can, cleaned some light lenses, got the horn to blow, and a couple of minor things like putting the back seat together. Oh yeh I had to fix the windows in place for air flow and keep most of the rain out. I am in it about $350 now with the reg and inspect, ($50 because I was late on registration). Got to dig into the breaks now and also the rack and pinion. Going to keep it as cheap as possible, I hope.
