Transmission Leak - photo attached

I've got a tranmission leak that seems only to leak when it's hot outside and/or I've been driving for more than 30 minutes. Here's a photo I took of where it is leaking:

It's dripping from the silver flap in the center of the photo right at the screw. The screw is loose and won't tighten. The leak could be coming from further up, but I'm not sure.

Any ideas? If so, is it a big, expensive fix? I'd like to have some knowledge before I head to the transmission shop.

The screw is not leaking. The leak is most likely coming from the input shaft seal ( a bit further up) or even the tranny vent (on top of tranny body). The screw holds in place a sheet metal shield that keeps debris from bouncing off the road up against the flywheel, etc. The fact that the screw seems stripped may be normal wear if it had ever been removed for inspection ... or perhaps the tranny has been replaced. ??

Is the fluid level normal? It may be overfilled. Does it leak a lot? If the tranny performs well and the leak is easy to keep up with ... I would stay away from tranny repair shops.

I agree with 12Ounce, my '96 had a slight leak at the same spot.
Not enough to leave any spots under the vehicle....but was wet when I looked from under the vehicle.
That screw just goes into the case to hole that metal shield in place.
If there is much coming out, double check to see if it is RED.
If not, and you have been keeping up on your transmission fluid changes, then it could be motor oil.
there is a seal on the motor where the shaft come out........and a seal on the transmission, where the shaft goes in.
Either one could leak.....
