2001 3.8 stalling/cutting out on highway

It seems to happen the most when the engine is warm and under load, passing, merging, up hill etc. the car will cut out just for a second, the tach will drop and the car feels like the key was just shut off. its so sudden i dont think its fuel. with fuel i dont belive it would be such a sudden drop. but also it completely stalls out completly all the time under 30mph. it always starts right up with no problems. at less than 30mph you can definatly feel it coming on the tach starts to dip, the motor starts to shake and sputter. i havent taken it to check the codes yet, right now im searching for possibilities. i see a lot of crank sensors failing out there and for the 30 bucks autozone has it for i may just replace it for kicks the trac light and abs have been on for a while too which i think i read maybe related. Also on a side note i noticed this started right after i replaced the front brake pads, which i would have never associated with this problem if i hadnt read the CKPS/Trac control are related. it may just be a coincidence because this is my wifes car and i rarely ever drive it, but have been more since noticing this problem please help!

I would have a full scan done to what is going with pcm inputs at the time this occurs, The ignition is a possibilty here also, but guess work can really addd up with this.

okay update took her to autozone and had a test run, the guy said there were 2 codes for the MAP and one for the MAF didnt think to ask which codes specifically. anyways bought and installed the new map alond with a new pcv valve. the old one and the top of the pcv were covered in oil. cleaned the MAF and put it all back together. ran it around town doing errands and after about the 3rd stop (engine off) the CEL went out, but still doing the same old thing. It did seem to do a little better job "catching" itself, what i mean is when the engine would start to stumble and stall at idle the motor would compensate, the revs would jump up, 1500 or so then settle back to 800. No real warning when its gonna do it, it may idle fine for a while then just suddendly buck and try to stall. but now without a CEL i dont know where to look. I switched the ignition with the AIR relay to see if maybe that was causing trouble, intermitanly releasing and cutting power to the coils, doubt it but its a free test.
