Heating controls vacuum line

Like another poster had as a problem, my HVAC controls are stuck in the defrost position. I have a loose vacuum line but cannot for the life of me figure out where it goes. Attached is someone else's pic, but it is the same part. Can anyone tell me where to put this on my 2001?

Never mind, I found it.:)

I read through a bunch of posts that pointed me in the right direction.

Anyway, for someone else who comes across this:

The defrost is the default vent mode and if no vacuum for the vent selection is present, this is all you will get. The other phrase for this would be the fail-safe mode.

The elbow in the picture on my first post gets connected to a "black box" on the firewall that serves as a vacuum reservoir. If you are in a pinch and can't figure it out, put some tape over the elbow part and the system will work.

The vacuum reservoir connection can be accessed without removing the cowl, provided your hands aren't too big and you don't need to see what you are doing. It is located on the firewall, near (behind?) the air handling plenum, up towards the cowl. You will need to reach your hand around the driver's side of the plenum and feel for the box. The vacuum connection is on the top of the box, pointing up.
