here is more specific, i thought i was pretty clear.we both know where the gauges are located and what rpm. vs. mph is. so let me clarify for you. first you start the car and it idles normal, but when you put in drive, and without ever touching the gas the car accelerates to 25 mph . also the rpm's get higher when put in drive, so when i am driving and have to apply the brakes, after i have let off the gas it still wants to go. but when it is put back in park it idles normally at around 1000 rpm's. i am sorry if you didnt understand me the first time, its not like a normal conversation where you can give more detail.:banghead:

Why did you make a new thread instead of simply responding in the existing one?

I made a new one , because the person that replied to the first didnt understand what i was saying.

i have had this issue on many gm cars, check the vacuum hose under the hood that leads to your transmission. check for cracks, if it blew off, or broken connections. it is on the driver side, roughly some where under your battery this may not be the reason but it is a good place to start. If not i would say this is a vacuum issue none the less.
