Surprisingly, my tiny Subaru dealer has gotten a shipment of brand new WRX's. I had to check twice because I wasn't sure they were out, but they definitely are 2004 WRXs. They looked great. Maybe I will stop by and take a closer look some day...

Hey Supercar Man, I didn't realise you're in Hazleton, we're practically neighbours :)
I am going to try to get a decent look at the new models tomorrow, I am also going to see if I can talk my way into a good deal on a 2003 WRX considering they will be wanting to get them off the lot to make space for the 2004 models.
Does that sound like a good plan to anyone?

I just wanted to let you guys know that MSRP on a new WRX STi with taxes, title, etc. will be $32,000 out the door. If you guys are interested in buying one from me let me know or check out my auction for the first spots to buy a WRX STi. Here is the auction.

What a great notion! I think I'm going to try to be first in line for the last Star Wars movie, and right before tickets go on sale, auction off my position in line. Todays market is so screwed up, I bet people would buy bottled air from Brazil :D

I was over at my local Subaru dealer last night drooling over the 2003 WRX's like I like to do on a regular basis when I decided to take a drive around to their storage lot.....
.....to my complete and utter unsurmountable joy there stood a brand new 2004 WRX alongside a 2004 2.5RS......
I am in love, the new Impreza is awesome......all you USA guys, they are here, go and find them!!!!
They are worth the search :)

The new WRX are still 2.0L, right?

Yeap. Gotta remain FIA WRC legal :D But then again, back in the 80s, some of the group B cars were less than 2.0L and made over 450hp
RS200 and Delta S4 to name a few.

There is rumour of them offering more than one engine size in the future though.
The WRC regs do call for the production car to be offered in the same size engine as the WRC spec to comply with WRC regs obviously , but they do not limit the production car to only one size.
If that were the case, the Focus would not be available in a 1.6, 1.8 and diesel in Europe.

Yeah I heard quite a few times that the WRX and the WRX STI may have bigger engines in the 2005 model. I have heard from 2.2L 2.5L thats a pretty big engine and would definitely add on some power but of course some $$ too:mad:

I'd wait for the 2004 Saab 9-2 (Not coming before 2004, prob. then as a 2005 model perhaps ) It's built on an Impreza, but with a restyled front, bumpers, and back end. To the interior, the seats and trim is Saab'ed. That should be great, since Saabs (and Volvo's) have the best seats in cars. The dash, unfortunately will stay Subaru. Price in Uk will be approx. £26 000, if it comes there, though.. Made for US markets in first round.
