Sunfire GT

i like them a lot do you ? would buy one ?

My mother has one now. I wouldn't buy one, for damn sure. Stupid interior design...just not as functional as other cars of the same class. It only has 12k miles on it and shit is starting to go wrong w/ it. Its got could pick up though....:devil:

Sunfires are a strait up bitch car. I have a Z24 and its all hooked up. I don't like the GT's because they weigh more. Pontiacs are a nicer car then just chevy's they have more sound deading material and more weight. I'm all about performance and the difference in a Z24 and a GT is about 200lbs witch translates into .2-.4 in the 1/4. stock 5 speed GT's run about 15.8-16.2 vs. Z24's 15.5-15.8. So its all about want you like i guess. Plus for sunfires they have crappy look alike kits all the sunfire body kits are basically the same. Cavaliers look better in my opinion and are faster on the track. With the mods i'll be getting this week i may be in the 14's, and i currently do 0-60 in 6.6sec and the quarter at low 15's with intake/62mmTB and ported intake manifold/exhaust, and i have a body kit. Today i'm ordering 800.00 worth of parts. so i hope to hit mid 14's. No stock pre 94 camaro or trans am can beet me.:grey:

well i own one (98 gt), unlike the other posters... i like mine. i put all 83,000+ miles on it myself and the only prob i have had was bad alternator i stabed with a philips screw driver (on purpose under warrenty)

it seems the aftermarket has passed the sunfire by, but its all gravey innovate don't imatate...
the body kits available now don't look to hot... no biggie chics dig the stock look :)
the sucker does weights as much as a tank... uh yeah its heavy :)

sunfire are so great. i raced a grand prix gt in the 1/4 and won. well it is a 5 speed. and i also beat a 90 chev with a 305. so ya i think there all good. plus i have been so drunk and did the most fucked up things ever and the fucker still gose like hell. it is a 2000 sunfire gt, gold in colour. with 2 6/9 rockfords in the back. i have pulled the jake alot goin 60 km/h but i have bought new tires already. lol. it has 64000+ km on it. i know alot about cars b.c that is all i do. break it and fix it. lol. i had the car up to 140km/h in a 1/4 mile. fuck a sterio system all the money is goin to the engine to make her alot faster. so sween

Those of you who DON'T Like them.... Why? Is it just a look thing? Are there well know problems of specific things to watch out for to go wrong?

I've heard from some people that they are decent, and then some people say "ewwww..... a pontiac" So I don't know what to think.

My Ex had a bonneville a LONG time ago and it was a piece of junk, but he also drove the crap outta it!! He wreck the turbo and engine in his Supra next... hahaha....
So I don't know what to think :)

I have a 2002 GT, and I love it. Had it just over a year now, without any probs. Some mods are hard to come by, but some wicked glowgauges and shift knobs on the market. More coming out in the next few months...
