McLaren MP4/8 - GP Of Australia 1993 - A. Senna - Tamiya - 1/20

This McLaren was Ayrton's last. The version is the Australian GP one, which means different aerodynamics, ...

After more than 600 hours, the only kit parts left are the wheels, the body parts, engine and gearbox casing. All other parts are home made using lathe and mill and home made PE parts.

The after market items used are:

- Tenco Proto 'Scale Weave'
- Tenco Proto flexible wire
- Tenco Proto 'Scale Fabric'
- Top Studio connector sets

And it was presented this way this weekend at IPMS Nationals in Holland where it won gold.

Hi

Wow what a fantastic build, with tons of little details everywhere. Looks like you have got all the detailchanges and I really like the detail with the fasteners in the bodywork. And the finish on the bodywork and 'rocket red' is simply perfect. Fantastic.

On the downside I'm not too fond of the 'weathering' part in the engine area. It is a McLaren and these are always kept pristine - but that is up to personal taste I guess?

Best regards

Flemming

Wow all that work paid off well. Its a beautiful model. So much detail that its almost comparable to the real thing!

Where can you get tenco pronto stuff from? Never heard of them before.

Amazing job.
The model was very realistc... the detailing was great, but I liked a lot of carbon fiber.
Congratulations.
