AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe

Here's my newest project: The limited edition re-issue of the AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe from Tamiya.
Rims are the new Leon Hardiritt Bügel 20 inch from Aoshima.

The body has been primered, the engine is finished and i've sprayed the chassis in body color.

I made the oil dipstick myself, the rest is box-stock.

The car and interior have been painted:

No clear yet though.

Interior has been detailed:

Steeringwheel wood is handpainted, all other wood parts are decals.

And I added some flocking to it.

Re: AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe

Wow the paint job look so good the unfinish car already looks so real. I would put more work into getting the antenna to stand straight. I think heat-stretched sprue does a better job being a model antenna.
I love the two-tone!

Re: AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe

I love these, my neighbor had one. All 4 of the windows roll down, leaving no b-pillar like pre 1972 muscle cars, it's looks so clean.

The Two tone looks awesome, very model year appropriate.

Re: AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe

this is one nice BIG coupe!

good choices on those BIG rims...it will looked very good after completion.
but i'm not a fan for 2-tones...not for such luxury tourer.

cheers!

Re: AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe

Thanks all, the antenna is just a temporary one to avoid the hole for the antenna from flooding

Re: AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe

I've got some updates.

The body has been cleared but isn't polished properly yet:

And sorry for the bad pics, weather sucks in Holland.

Re: AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe

Looks good (tail lights look great!), but shouldn't you polish before you install the metal-transfer emblems?

Re: AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe

I did, but it looked good at the eye.

But it doesn't on macro pictures.

I love it

And, don't worry, weather sucks in Belgium too, it's snowing now

Looks awesome!

Maybe a side by side pics with your 300CE would look great.

Re: AMG Mercedes S600 Coupe

It looks fantastic, the rims set it off too. Good interior color combo also.
