Volksrod

Hy guys.
I am a newbie modeler from Estonia and have been browsing this forum for some time now. And I must say there are some brilliant masterpieces that has given me a lot of inspiration.

This model is my secondever completed car model. Before that I builded military stuff and never painted them either.

Anyway... here are all WIP pics too so please be patient.

Enjoy. opcorn:

Well... what more can I say.
C&c are more than welcome.

Re: Volksrod

Hi, welcome to AF. Very individual idea and nicely executed. I simply love scratchbuilding projects!

The taillights are awesome, what are they made of?

Maybe you want to try drybrushing the seats with flat color? They look way too shiny,
escpecially with the flat black painton the body.

Keep it comin'

The taillights are made from Datsun 240Z mirrors and ferrari F430 rear lights.

And both seats and body are painted with semi gloss paints.
I donīt have a decent studio set atm for better pics.

Thanks.

Re: Volksrod

Great scratchbuilding !
Engine looks wicked. I bet it can smoke those rear wheels pretty easily
Are those wheels the kit wheels?
Love the steering linkage and front suspension!

Re: Volksrod

I really like the modifications you made here, I think you ended up with one very cool car. The engine is excellent.

Re: Volksrod

Woah! That engine is a stunner! And the way you've decided to lower the car is simple, elegant and ingenious! I wish I had thought of it but am glad you did so I can copy it. Great work! Beautiful hotrod bug. Just a great model, thanks for sharing.

Re: Volksrod

Newbie? You are in the correct way to become a master... I consider scratch-build a task for advanced modelers. Congratulations! Which will be your next model?

Re: Volksrod

I like it. I think this is one of the most original builds posted in a long time. I wish I had the skill to do this.
