*World Debut* Lambo Gallardo GT1

This is Fujimi's Gallardo kit which I converted to a phantom GT1 racer.

I began by molding on the fender flares from the UT Models Calibra DTM kit. The roll bar is modified from that kit as well. The wing from Revell's Corvette C5R is held up by scratchbuilt arms. The rims are from a rare Rosso Testarossa kit, the brakes are stock Gallardo with brembo decals. The diffuser is from a Ferrari F430 and the splitter is from a Porsche GT1 I think as well as the side window vents.

The engine scoop was scratchbuilt using a seat back and a F1 engine scoop. Decals are from various sheets but mainly Tamiya's Alfa DTM...which were very brittle and horrible to work with. I kept the interior simple only adding a race seat, roll cage and a electronic engine control box. Nylon screen was installed in front and rear grilles.

The paint is Tamiya TS-26 White on the body and Telefonica Blue on the rims, wing, mirrors, scoop etc. Interior is Acryl Aircraft Interior Black.

Looking great.

It's spot-on. If you hadn't mention it I would have believed this to be a scale model of an actual race car.

Great job !

You never cease to amaze and impress.

I don't know what you eat for breakfast but I'm going to start eating it too

It's hard to believe that this car never existed - it should!

I was wondering what you've been up to. The graphics really work on this car. Love the striping placement.

Mhhh I'm used to be a fan of your creative jobs, sorry not this time

I appreciated the skills, the job is in fact (as expected) quite well done, BUT I have two big "but"

- Design: it's obviously just a thing of tastes, to me it seems not so appropriate becouse it don't follow the original car line, the sharp design: isn't armonic and on the contrary it isn't enoug "different" to be original.

- Livery: unfortunately you'll recognize too much the Focus livery, is like a ferrari with the Fiat logo, a lambo with the VW logo, a whole lower class.

Veyron: I respect you very much, so I hope you'll take my criticism like honest though: obviously is quite easy to me cast a good "very nice" but than I can't feel me good when I post in the "monthly" "criticism are good?" thread

For the skills&effort: very BRAVO!

That's what I'm talking about......so real you can smell the oil and burnt rubber.

I remember you showing me the seat/scoop that you were working on and the results are credit to your vision and skill.

Top shelf - great work!

No problem, mate. I could have spent a few more weeks/months being more creative but I'm not into 'reinventing the wheel' these days. I take the easy way out....crikey, I even used decal seat belts.

Re: *World Debut* Lambo Gallardo GT1

Awesome "fictious" racer!!! This is what I come to AF to see!!!

Any chance of seeing a lineup of the racecar concepts you've built? I think you had a 612 concept racer as well?

Great looking car Brian, I can see it on the track. This car could probably run in the Japanese Super GT series.
