Ford Mustang GT complete
Hi!
Just finished my 2nd Revell Mustang GT with a couple of modifications. I decided to make a modified Mustang right after finishing my stock one half a year ago. I made a couple more kits before I really started this one. I decided to tune it up a little. I added a hood scoop to the hood, placed scoops to the side windows (all of them are left materials from a Focus WRC and Super Stallion Mustang I think). Than I placed the rear wing to the rear window instead so I filled the little holes on the trunk. I filled the hole of the rear emblem too. Than I modified the body skirts on the front & rear, and added sideskirts too. As the rear one is low enough, I made 2 holes on it for the exhaust pipes. I modified the front grille putting the 2 extra headlights together in the middle, then filled with mesh from the inside. Than I decided to put a different engine in it. That was a pain in the ass but I did it. Finally I built in a '39 Chevy Street Rod engine. Originally this is a Chevy V8 with 375 hp, but I just like it how it looks in the engine bay. I had to modify the engine bay a bit as this block is a bit bigger to make it fit perfectly, and to be able to put the air filter in too. The hardest part was to install the exhaust pipes perfectly as neither the original Mustang's nor the Street Rod's was good enough, so I made my own. After this, I put a cover from underneath to save the engine like on rally cars, and a bar behind the headlights to make the engine bay stronger. Then I put new wheels under the kit (from AMT's '67 Fast&Furious Mustang), and lowered the ride height to fit. I used the brakes of that kit too. Inside I only changed the front seats to rally seats, and added flocking (red and black). I painted the interior carmine red, silver and black, the exterior is ultramarine blue metallic. i added a custom self-made license plate and painted the taillights European way (let the turn signal be orange instead of painting the whole area red). After all, I decided not to use the silver stripes... Here it is! 1. Lowered ride, low profile tires, side skirts ![]() 2. The red interior ![]() 3. The underside ![]() 4. From the front ![]() 5. From the rear ![]() 6. The Chevy Street Rod 375 hp V8 engine in the Mustang ![]() 7. Comparing to the box stock ![]() Guys, this is my first attempt to modify a car, so any comments and criticism are welcome! Thanks for looking!

Re: Ford Mustang GT complete
Nice build. But the exhaust a little bit too small.
