Re: how do I remove old interior paint

when you say interior paint do you mean metal thats been painted or plastic interior parts that have been painted? regular metal parts..like an old metal dash uses the same principal an exterior paint uses...use a standard paint removal process (liquid or media blast). depending on where your at with your restoration. if the car is still being driven you can use liquid paint remover and a paint removing attatchment on your die grinder or drill just as you would the outside paint...only masking off the entire interior of your car...the chemicals will ruin your dash pad and your seats, carpet etc... if your talking about painted plastic and a painted dash pad...you may have a problem. you may be looking at replacing it. i dont know of anyway way to remove paint from plastic or fabric without ruining it.
