Upcoming Revell models on dispaly at Intermodellbau 2007 in Dortmund

I went to Intermodellbau 2007 in Dortmund, Germany last friday. Revell was showing their new models of which I took the following images. The Tamiya booth was filled with military and mainly RC stuff, clearly indicating the way Tamiya is thinking about it's future... I didn't bother taking images of the all well known Ferrari FXX, Lexus and Bike variants.

Anyways, here are the Revells.

Audi R10 TDI - looked like a prototype. I even think the rear wing is mounted incorrectly.

Audi R8

Ferrari 599 Fiorano

Ferrari 255 GTO

Corvette C6R

Nice subjects and I am excited about that GTO. I would have to say that, if and only if Revell spends more effort to build these protoype "better", they might get better market share!

Is the C6R using decals to simulate the air vent ? and the R10 look quite bad. (hope it's an early prototype)

Sad

Both Ferrari look nice.

The front vents are molded solid But the vents ontop of the fenders are all molded open.

The Audi R10 Doesn't look that crash hot to me, maybe the person who built the model was the one to blame, the 599 actually looks quite good for once, it seems there starting to improve, and the 250 also looks fairly nice (they didnt use the Gunze model did they?

Jokes.

What is worse about the C6R is that this is supposed to be the '06 LeMans winner. Still no side glass and totally incorrect wheels

And you'd think SMS, for $135 would include side glass for their detail kit. Nope. Nice BBS wheels tho, but the builder is still left in the lurch for side glass (which has a duct, not easy at all for anyone to scratchbuild)

That R10 looks like a plaster model. It can't be based on any real tooling, those vent louvers are horrid, along w/the finish of the model.

Because it seems to be the old Protar kit. The worst of them all. Body proportions are way off, specially in the rear.
