Jeff Gordon's '05 Pepsi/DuPont Monte Carlo

I've been working on this project off and on for about a year now. Normally I like to get them done sooner, but from the start I had set the bar so high for myself, it took a lot longer than normal.

The base was a Revell '03-'05 Monte Carlo kit. The chassis is a combination of a Revell '00 chassis, and the '05 chassis grafted together to more closely resemble a modern frame. The rest was scratch built.

The body was heavily reworked with opening hood, trunk and roof flaps. The kit nose was cut off and a resin Super Speedway style nose was added. Decals are from JWTBM, and the paint is House of Kolor with Omni clear.

Inside there is a fully detail interior, plumbed and wired engine, and just about every detail I could match from the real car. It was a tough battle, but it's finally complete and ready for the contest in Cookeville, TN this weekend. Even if you aren't a Jeff Gordon fan, I hope you like it.[]

To see it from the start, check my albums.

Thanks,
Clay K.

Re: Jeff Gordon's '05 Pepsi/DuPont Monte Carlo

That has to be one of the most detailed models i've ever seen. The only thing you're missing is the driver, that thing looks amazing.

Did you mold your own front clip or was that a chop from another?

OMFG that is the nicest build-up of a NASCAR that I have ever seen. Your skills are second to none.

Re: Jeff Gordon's '05 Pepsi/DuPont Monte Carlo

Although I don't exactly watch Nascar, some models built here are just excellent. This is probably the most detailed one I've seen on AF. Flawless work!! ECrazy...
