Is a Zetec swappable 4 2nd gen? (91-96)

im curious to see if the 2.0 is swappable to the escorts in the 91-96 year range and how much work that would be. thanx 4 the help!

yes the 2.0 dohc zetec engine will fit in the escort engine bay. and work as long as you have the 1.9 flywheel and tranny and all the 1.9 mounts. you need the zx2 altanator and a fuel rail off a 97 ford contour cause it has a return line like a 1.9 the 2.0 does not you need to swap this fuel rail cause the 1.9 ECU will not read right with out a fuel return line and you must mount a crank positionen sensor on your 1.9 flywheel and for the wiring you just cut a couple harnesses and put them on the ztec sensors

aight thanx! I seriously want to do this. Ive only owned this car for a about a month now, and i love the zetec focus motors. thanx again for the help though. i appreciate it. I was just a lil confused between the spi motors and the zetecs. im good now thanx again!
