Latest build - Seat Cordoba WRC (now finished)

Here's a quick pick of the progress so far of my latest kit, the Seat Cordoba WRC from the Network Q Rally of Great Britain 1998. The kit is a white metal kit made by Racing 43. At the moment I am waiting for them to sent me a decal set for the kit then I can progress further, but until then here's a pic to keep you lot happy!

Steve

Warren,

The colour is an automotive colour, as per the instructions it is Fiat Taxi Yellow, it's a really rich yellow - very pleased so far.

Steve, where did you get the Racing43 kit? Was it expensive (I'm sure it was ) You wouldn't happen to know prices for their 1/43 Corolla kits, would you?

Excited now, after waiting for a couple of weeks the decals came today so I can carry on now.

Ales,

I got the kit from a guy who just happened to have one in stock in the U.K. I can't rememnber exactly how much it cost around fifty pounds I think. Here's the link to their web site: http://www.racing43.com/
With the decals they sent a catalogue and price list, they do several different versions of the Corolla in 1/43rd scale, works versions from 1997,1998 and 1999 as well as a Marlboro coloured version and a couple sponsored by Esso. From what I can make of the price list (I can't read Italian, I'll have to ask Dan next time he's over) all the 1/43rd scale metal kits cost 38.00 Euro's.

Gotta go, the decals are calling me.

Steve

Here's the latest progress pic, decals are now on, a couple of coats of laquer and the grills and intercooler/radiator in place. The decals went on well, the only thing spoiling it is that the white of the number plates is not very thick and shows the blue decal behind them. Just waiting for the laquer to harden before cutting and polishing then windows and finishing touches to be added.

It's a 1/24th scale white metal kit made by Racing 43 of Italy.

Warren, 'cause I always use gloss laquer to protect the decals I always leave window rubbers etc. until after 'cause they need to be semi-gloss black.

So the clear is enough to protect the decals form the masking tape? Very interesting! Solves my dillemma. Thanks for the tip!
