East Coast F-body Nationals
I'm not sure if anyone here would be interested in this but it is sure to be one hell of a fun event. We will have a show, a race, and possibly a dyno. YearOne goodie bags for everyone who attends. There will most likely be many more give-aways and i will update this post/thread as i am given more information. If you have any questions feel free to ask at the New Jersey F-Body Owners Association ( http://njfboa.org ) and post in this section.
August 14th, 2005 Island Dragway( http://www.islanddragway.com/ ) Open to any and all F-bodys, only f-bodys Car Show: All voting to be done by spectators, no "officials" will rate your car; winners will be decided by popular vote. Awards for the top 3 in each generation as well as top 3 overall. Bracket Racing: *all vehicles participating in racing will conform to all nhra safety rules appropriate for their et adn speed *all brackets classes will be "foot brake" style racing. the use of two steps, transbrakes, and delay boxes is prohibated. *a car may only be entered in 1 racing class at the event. *this event is intended for "street" type vehicles. normal street car runnign gear shoudl be present and in working order. cars are also asked to have a "full" inerior conisting of two front seats, carpet, and complete dash. Classes: (as of now we jsut have 4 bracket classes worked out) True Radial: for cars that want to compete on regular street radial tires. no limits on tire size, power adders, engine displacement, or weight. Drag Radial: for cars competeing on racing construction radial tires. no limits on tire size, power adders, engine displacement, or weight Slick/Cheater Slick: for cars competeing on any bias type construction tire. no limits on tire size, power adders, engine displacement, or weight 6Cyl: open to cars on any type tire powered by 6cyl engine. no limits on power adders, weight, tire size/construction, or displacement(as long as it is still 6cyls) Heads Up: heads up for "street" type vehicles. no limit on power adders, no minimum weight, bias tire limited to 10.5inch section(no w's allowed) and a max 315section for drag radials. all cars must have full runnign gear and have current registration and insurance to compete. all cars must have a "full" interior consisting of drivers and passeenger seat(full size seat, seats don't have to match), carpeting and interior panels. back halved cars do not need to run carpet but should be otherwise complete. This meet is being run by the same guy (Tim) who ran the East Coast nats at Englishtown the first two years. It'll be a fun and worthwhile event for all who chose to attend. Things are hopefully being solidified in the next week or so, so any comments/suggestions post em up here or over at NJFBOA Official hotel info: Comfort Inn 1925 Route 57 West Hackettstown, NJ, US, 07840 (908) 813-8500 it is about 8miles from the track. just call the hotel and tell them you are with Island Dragway. the discounted rooms are $95, that is $24 cheaper than their normal rate. they have room for up to 200 people. if they run out of rooms let me know and i will talk to other hotels in teh area.

Re: East Coast F-body Nationals
The rules are still up for debate to some degree, if anyone has suggestions for improvement. We won't be nailing down the specifics until the middle of next week.

Re: East Coast F-body Nationals
Bumping this. Again the East Coast Nats homepage is here
We have a lot more solidified now, a bunch of brackets and a heads up class set up. We have people potentially coming in from as far as Michigan; although it's named East Coast F-body Nationals you can be from anywhere in the country and come down, no discrimination there . Right now the estimation is at 300+ cars.
