Re: ITB's

no chance your gonna fine em, the motor doesnt have the potential to make the kind of power needed to warrant the use of ITB's

if u can weld really good get some motorcycle throttle bodies with a stock intake manifold cut the runners and weld the throttle bodys to it. wouldnt recomende doing this on a d series(waste of time and effort for the results ull get) or any engine thats non vtec for that matter and their race track applycation only unless u wana fuck up something.

Re: ITB's

Alright, first encounter where im stumped:

I've always known that getting ITBs werent really useful unless you've got a highly tuned N/A setup, but what exactly are the problems that are encountered when you're running it in a car this doesnt have a funky cam job or high compression Everyone has said "it'll fuck something up" but what problems actually surface?

Thanks for the time guys,

Re: ITB's

itb's are made for engines that suck in alot of air(high compression, agressive cam, bigger displacement sometimes). just using a regular aftermarket intake and a larger intake manifold is usualy good enough to suplly the engine wiht the air its demanding. main reason that they dont make itb's for sohc is that the ppl that buy them use dohc and companies would loose money if they made them for sohc(not enough demmand)
sohc=fuel econom/low power output
Dohc=more race oriented

Laugh it up suckers, but there's kits that fit Honda CBR-954RR ITBs to the D-series motor. I actually know a guy that fabricates mounting brackets for the ITB's to D-series motors. Pics of CBR 929 ITBs for D16Z6 motor. You all still laughing? I didn't think so either. More proof that the D-series is JUST AS potent as an B-series.
