Poseur Car Contest Entry thread - VOTE HERE

Looks like this is all we're gonna get. Thanks CADguy and tonioseven for participating, and thanks to the rest of AF for proving my suspicion right - more poseur builders than poseur cars (just kidding!)

Please vote by posting a response to this thread with your choice. No funny stuff or we cut off your johnson! (Hey, I need that!)

Winner gets a PHAT APC decal for their 1:1!

CADguy

Heres a brief description of mods..

Rainbow tint added to rear hatch windows.
Vinyl strips added to front windshield to give that fast 'tank' look.
Hood scoop and ground effects painted to match existing car color by the owners colorblind bodywork man.
Racing stripe and sponsorship decals added.
Pegasus Daytons with whitewalls
Racing seat out of Toyota TS-020
"TUNER" license plate

Notice the Michelin, Goodyear and Nike swoosh decals.

tonioseven

Injen - cold air intake, header
Mugen - front strut tower brace, brakes
Momo - steering wheel, gear knob
PIAA - headlight bulbs
NOS - Duh!
Jackson Racing - plug wires, pulleys, ignition system
AEM - just because Steph Papadakis drives an AEM-sponsored Civic coupe
Skunk2- coilover suspension system, rear stabilizer bar

“My car is so awesome because it was in SuperStreet readers' rides, it runs low 13s, has a sweet Skyline rear wing (JDM), and a custom interior!! I want to add a supercharger, K20-A engine swap, Mugen RNR wheels, NSX seats, and some ICE.”

willimo

DX engine conversion (valve cover, throttle body in center of plenum, timing belt cover, header shield), intake, body kit, rims, drum brakes in rear, tails, spoilers, racing seats, automatic shifter.

“Yo scope my ride. It might look like show, but it’s all go. Scope those 19”s, show and go, man, check that chrome, all bling, tellin’ ya these little cars: all class! Let’s look under the hood. Yeah, it don’t look like much but is scope that intake, getting the cold air from the left side of the engine bay, man, you can’t beat that! I know that heatsheild looks rusty but I want to hide my… turbo… hey you never know who’s gonna race you for your pink slip! I know the thing you noticed first, the body kit. Ain’t that fly? Wings West baby, hottest off the factory line. Can’t keep these in stock. I bought them off my buddy. He’s into lowriders now. HA! Got the spoiler off Ebay, intake too, one offs, RARE!! APC seats for, well duh, keepin’ my butt warm and my hottie nice and cozy. And I get a hand free with my automatic stick, yo, no fumblin’ around with a stick when I should be fumblin’ around in her shirt! Check my Carbon Fiber filler door, gotta save weight. These Hondas, all about weight and smallness. Oh, and for a little show, got the doorhandles and badges shaved. All you bitches out there can eat my dust, this car is the KING!”

Re: Poseur Car Contest Entry thread - VOTE HERE

these are just hilarious. I would vote willimo's as 1st, and then comes Tonio's civic and then cadguy's daytona in a close third. I love those "turbo Z" decals

Re: Poseur Car Contest Entry thread - VOTE HERE

lol, willimo's civic with the mis-matched rims, green bumpers, the shaved but not painted door handles, and upainted hood, i love it. is it bad to say that i actually like tonioseven's civic?! lol, yea i know, but that's the first 93 revell civic i've seen, and i like it. but i think CADguy's car is 1st in my opinion, the nike swoosh (that's really big with the mexicans around here) really did it for me. 2nd, willimo, 3rd tonio. props to all, hope we have this contest again!

1st to Willimo
2nd to CADguy
3rd to Tonio

Willimo that's crazy converting to dx SOHC...nice!!!! I think I've seen that car here is in San Jose somewhere....woops it's in my garage!
Tonio-dude your Civic is TOO clean to be poseur. I think that level of body kit and decals is like tasteful to most people on this forum! I know, it's sad I'm actually into your interior..it looks good.
CADguy...I'm, still laughing! Great subject for the poseur. Man that rear window tint is classic!

Re: Poseur Car Contest Entry thread - VOTE HERE

I'd have to put CADguy on top of my list here, can barely tell what the car was originally, lol

Willimo's would be next, I don't think it was taken to the extremes as CADguy's was, but the changes he DID make are pretty funny.

Tonioseven's isn't much of a Poseur, imo, it deserves to be in a different contest .

Willimo gets my vote, since his car reminds me of so many I've seen...
But let me tell you, it was close. So many sponsor decals, it took me a while to decide which one had the most horsepower ; but the engine rust and primered hood on Willimo's civic tipped the scales!

I gotta give my vote to CADguy. Man, that Daytona is the phattest, flyest thing I have seen in a longgg time. My stomach hurts from laughing so hard!

Willimo is a close second. LOVE the mismatched wheels! Dunno 'bout the green body kit, though. The primered hood an' wing is chill, yo, but for all the homies in my hood, primered body kits are BLING!

Great build from Tonio- but I wouldn't fall over laughing if I saw smoeone driving that. (Come to think of it, i think I have seen someone driving that car....) Waaaay extra points, though, if the sponsor decals on the right door really are reversed, and not just the image.

I say tonio's ride with the backward decals classic ,and the r34 wing now that's a nice touch.
And the interior with the Giant tach, real sick tight gotta give it up for tonio .
