1/9 Honda RC211V no.46 2003
As I am in the mood of making 1/9 GP bikes few of them will follow (I am curently waiting for Yamaha M1 from Rossi and RCV from Valencia). Kit is from Italeri (as Ducati before) not the Tamiya quality but it will do and it is realy something when you put it together (biiiig bike
).This one will be OOB as I have Tamiya's bike with lots of afftermarket stuff and I will play with details on that one. One major flaw of this kit is that it has no airbox intake tubes so that this part of fairing looks a bit empty but it will be hardly visiable affter it is completed. Here is where I am at the moment. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() try Italeri GP kits, you wan't be disapointed (if you like GP bikes) |

You bike guys are lucky, plenty of kits of very recent machinery. Very impressive build so far. Can't wait to see it lined up next to your big Duke

Thank you guys for the comments, fairings are prepared, just to polish them a bit because of a slight orange peal and of to the decals. There is one major diference betwin Tamiya and Italeri at this point. Tamiya suggests painting front fairing in two tones (orange and blue) and Italeri gives you orange decals, I wanted to paint the orange but on the last two kits from Italeri decals were so perfect that I decided to try with them (since I matched the orange on the tank almost to good
). |

, this one is regular 2003 version with plain old exhaust pipes, but I have ordered that groovy one together with Rossi's Yamaha for 2004 Joel I know you like 1/12 better but Tamiya is sleeping and when they issue next GP bike I will probably have full grid from Italeri |

Exactly! They are soon too tired to stay in business... You're right about my scale peeves, it really hurts to have entered the 1/24 business with a car, but that's not stopping me from following your job with great pleassure. You're really doing some nice things with those 1/9ths. So when your grid is done I WANT PHOTOS!! /Joel

Some more progress is done, decals look nice, good shape but the blue under that orange is a bit to strong and the orang decal is slightly darker that tank cover. I knew this will happen I I did it anyway just to see how will it look (and if you don't know this you would never guess
) Everything else is going smoth. You can notice that Italeri (unlike Tamiya) makes right racing stand and front mudguard (it is longer than 2002 version) so this is one big |

Super stuff, what paint did you use for the orange?

Re: 1/9 Honda RC211V no.46 2003
both paints are Dupli Colour, wheels are orange-red something (I have picked it up from a catalogue with the picture of the real bike) and the tank is plain orange (not automotive), I brought decals with me to match the colour, but it is not same anymore and they also have some flourescent yellow that is also not automotive and it is the same as Valencia version of this bike. Those were on shelve with hobby colours and they are realy shiny, cheaper then automotive but with the better effect (and no orange peal at all).
