94 grand am - how do I replace turn signal bulb??????

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to replace my front turn signal lights on my 94 GA. The mechanic said there was just nooooo way possible to change it without taking off the bumper and incurring some ridiculous expense, which I just don't believe. The manual is no help, there are no instructions for this in it.

The turn signals/running lights are in a separate assembly in the bumper, not part of the top headlight assembly like I see in newer models.

Any help would be tremendously appreciated!

I'll be honest with you, it's a pain to replace. On my friends 93 GT, i had to reach under the car to the light, twist the socket to get it out, THE problems i had was getting enough room to pull the bulb in/out. the other problem was i didn't get the bulb in all the way and it fell off inside the lighthousing.... A piece of tape on my finger got it out luckly... As long as you can get enough room under the front of your car you can access it. We put the car at the end of the driveway ( which has an incline) so i had a good foot and a half to crawl under.

I'm guessing the same way I put the blue head light on mine. I jacked the car up and took the wheel off, then took the black wheel well cover off, and got under the car and reached up and changed it. Hardest light I've ever changed. Even a FORD is easier to change. LOL . But still, the best way to fix a ford is to pull the magnet off the trunk, through away the ford and install a GM on your magnet. LOL

I had to replace the one in my 95. All i had to do was unscrew the turnsignal bracket and it pops right out..i think there were 2 screws

I've heard it was that simple, but I removed two bolts, and the light assembly would not come out. It just moved a little bit, but the plastic down lower was still connected some where. Maybe the 2002 and newer are different. Someone else showed me picture of their car and what bolts to remove, but mine is different on the newer car.
