subaru life span
hey guys, im interested in the wrx sti 04, and i just want your opinions on the car's reliability, are there any serious problems that occur often?
you see, my family has been with toyota and we find it pretty reliable, will it be the same with a subaru? im thinking of modding the sti just a little on the engine only--i wanna show those honda ricers in my neighborhood whats up. what about the evo, are they reliable as well? |

the subaru is pretty reliable.... the guys that race with them here eat hondas for breakfast..... and give suped M3 a run for its money... AWD makes it a monser on pullaway....u can mod the engine nicely without too much hassles.... just dont go mad with things.... i think the impresa comes standard with a turbo...but replacing it with a T3 will seriously give it a pants kicking...other than that... have fun munchin hondas.

i stand afirmed... subaru is a winner.... i would love to get my hands on a scooby....(thats the nic for a subaru here.... they are hot property)... they are just so awesome.... the next on the list would be a nissan skyline gtr32 v-spec. that car has a nifty gadget that lets the rear tyres turn 1 degess to aid turning.... sure 1 degree isnt anything... but boy does it make difting a breeze... but subaru is something i wouldnt mind in my christmas stocking.

HEy o ways!!!! cool dude!!....
umm im not sure what scooby's go for now ..... i think people pick them up for R240 000... not bad for a god awesome car...they had a speed and sound shootout with AWD cars a while ago... GTR-R32 11.9 sec SUBARU GT 13.0 sec SUBARU GT 13.1 sec SCOOBY WRX 14.4 sec And this was done on a hot day with drivers that had 1sec and lower reaction times.... i know for a fact a turbo works better on a cold day... check out www.saracing.web.za for an idea on whats happening back home... Good to see a frendly face in the forum.... i would kill to get my hands on a scooby.... |

I only know of one WRX in PE, was a WR Blue one and belonged to a guy in Walmer. Where were they running those times? At Scribante? Where in PE are you? I lived in Westering for the most part but moved to Mount Croix for a while. Ray |

Shit.... u must have eyes here or something.... no those times are set in westbank raceway..... and yea the blue scooby is here in pe... only recently... blue with gold mags.... it happens to live in newton park where i reside. it was parked ouside the cafe.... impresa wrx.... sat drooling for 5 minute.
yea those times are in joberg.... they race at the coast and the times would be much better....technicaly... but realy i dunnoi what a scooby costs here.... i just know car prices here have gone to shit...they are outrageous... a new jetta 4 2.0 or tdi is like R215 000 which is mad... if i spot that scooby for sale or if i get a wiff of it being sold ill be ther to take it...definitly. the race scene here is not good at the moment...theres nothing other than like lvl 1 mods running... u know like cone filter and powerflow exhausts.. noone runs monster cars.... the kind that has had some serious engeneering done.... thats joberg.... |
